About the Owner

Philip Celestino, Owner & Certified Pedorthist

Long Island Comfort Shoes & Pedorthic Services (LICSPS) proprietor, Philip J. Celestino, is a Certified Pedorthist.

Phil has been practicing pedorthics in a retail comfort and orthopedic environment 17 years. This has included frequenting hospitals, nursing homes and home care visits. He is also an experienced Medicare provider under The Diabetic Theraputic Shoe Program.

LICSPS is proud of its relationship with the medical community which includes:  M.D.s, Endocrynologists, Orthopedists, Certified Orthotists, Prostethists and Physical Therapists.

Phil manages his business from a health care and customer service perspective. He is also a retailer with a focus on pedorthics, orthotics and medical necessity.  Most importantly, Phil believes how you treat a customer is how they will treat you.  To date LICSPS has more than 5,500 customers to its credit.
Prior to working in the retail end of the business, Phil successfully launched and managed his own store: “Phil’s Shoe Repair” in 1993. This facility was a success from the start. His many accolades included the "Excellence in Marketing Retailing Division Award" presented by the Shoe Service Institute of America.

Within a few short years, Phil was able to sell his first business at a profit and begin planning his next venture - a long-term goal to establish a solid comfort retail and pedorthic facility in Suffolk County, Long Island.

As an entrepreneur, Phil saw the need for a quality store with quality product, on the east end of Long Island. But he also envisioned quality in terms of knowledge, experience and an ability to work with the medical community at large, and everyone who would walk through his front door.

In January of 2003, Phil’s turned his dream into reality when he opened the doors of Long Island Comfort Shoes & Pedorthic Services, Inc. Phil has been a practicing Pedorthist in a retail environment in the NY Metro area and Long Island 17 years now!   The last 11 of those years in his own retail and pedorthic facility.

He brings solid experience to the table as well as a “can do” attitude. His belief in the “personal touch” is one of the many qualities which has endeared him to the medical community and his customers.
